A small, independent practice
Our practice is led by Kerim Efe Özcanlı, a Türkiye-licensed civil engineer (İMO) who has spent his career around seismically isolated buildings. He holds an MSc in Earthquake Engineering from Rose School / IUSS Pavia in Italy, one of the top graduate programs in the field. He is not licensed as a Professional Engineer in the United States.

In the United States and other jurisdictions, engineering work is delivered by independently licensed Professional Engineering firms we coordinate with. What is Seismic Isolation?
Seismic isolation (base isolation) decouples a building from ground motion using flexible bearings, Lead-Rubber, Friction Pendulum, High-Damping Rubber, significantly reducing seismic forces transferred to the structure.
